Recognising the industry-wide need for a reliable and practical solution, Sunderland-based Salamander Pumps has forged a partnership with Racine to design and bring to market a new innovative product – PortaWater.

The concept of PortaWater was fostered due to the logistical issues that come with having onsite, fresh water.

The PortaWater offers:

• ability to provide railway workers with both a portable and pressurised water supply without the need for power,
• a continuous source of cooled, drinking water during projects at any location.
• a portable solution for accessing 60 x 500ml bottles worth of fresh water.
• continuous water supply, even during low water levels

The portable design also includes:

• handles for easy two-person transport.
• temperature monitor ensures compliance with potable water standards.
• pressure monitor will clearly reveal how full or empty the tank is.
• Insulated water tank to ensure the water doesn’t get too hot or cold.

PortaWater on site is an ideal solution to ensure cool water is always available to all. The ability to re-fill bottles and cups means no rubbish is left on site, which is not only kinder to the environment but provides a cost-effective solution to an already exiting problem.

PortaWater can also be used in welfare units, festivals, recreational sport events (e.g., marathons).
